Challenge 10 continued

Julio looked at my blog. He expressed a lot of interest in the way it was set up. My pictures, blogs, and widgets all seemed to catch his attention. He clicked on a few of my links to see what they were all about. He told me that nothing really distracted him because he enjoyed everything on my blog. He gave me suggestions to add blogs more often and to make some more useful links that other bloggers can check out for more information on how to blog.

Challenge 10: Audit of Blog

I have had 8 posts (this being my 9th) on my blog since the beginning of March. Most of these blogs have been through challenges brought about by my teacher. I haven't received a whole lot of comments on my blogs, but I have still had some comments. All of my comments were from people that are overseas. None of my posts receieved more than 1 comment each. My favorite blog was writing freely about what we were going to do for the holidays. I didn't change my blog theme because I didn't want to. I have a lot of widgets and I think it's the perfect amount.

How Teens Are Using Their Cell Phones: Challenge 9

I believe these numbers are very accurate. Some people talk to others in different ways via a cell phone. Sometimes people use the technology of their cell phone a lot more than others. If I had to be put into a portion on the pie graph, I think I would be right around the "over 100" to "over 200" texts a day section. I tend to text a lot because I like to keep in-touch with my friends. I also like to use the calling for my family and mobile web when I need to look something up when I'm not near a computer. Most of these numbers seem to suit my friends pretty well. I know most of my friends have cell phones and they say they would "die" without them. Nowadays people tend to rely on technology a lot more than they use too. We tend to feel completely lost if we don't have a computer, cell phone, or iPod right by our side because new technology has become our lives. People are always wanting the next big thing and when one person has it, everyone else wants it. Then, if they don't get it, they feel left out and don't seem to "fit in" or be as popular as the kids or people who have the newer things.

Blogging Challenge 5

http://studentchallenge.edublogs.org/2010/04/05/march-2010-challenge-5/

I personally don't think a creative commons license is needed for our blogs. The pictures and other things on our blogs are okay to change because I don't think it is that big of a deal. If people can think of something creative to do with the picture, they should be aloud to create and express it. I also have people from both the blogging challenge and other people I don't know around the world looking at my blog, so I still don't think it's a big deal if someone I don't know wants to use my pictures and other photos.

I am reading "Animal Farm" in my English class right now, so i think this is a very good clip to show about the book/movie. It shows an actually clip from the beginning of the movie. I hope you enjoy it.

Challenge 4: What do you do at school or at home to help protect the environment?

At home, we turn off our lights when we don't need them so we can save electricity. We also use the reusable shopping bags. This saves a lot of plastic from being wasted over time. Another thing our school finds very important, which it is, is recycling anything that can be recycled so we can reuse this stuff in the future.

Must see Seymour (Challenge 3)

A must see place in Seymour is the giant hamburger. Seymour is the "Home of the Hamburger." There is a tribute to the hamburger and Hamburger Charlie towards the middle of the city. The hamburger is placed here on a very large grill that really works. This is a very cool monument that you can go to see whenever you you want. Here is a link to the official website of the "Home of the Hamburger."
